Whitney Conaway, MS, LCMHC, NCC, is a licensed clinical mental health counselor and the founder of Elevated Psychotherapy Collective, where she provides training, consultation, and clinical education focused on suicide risk assessment and ethical decision-making.

Whitney currently serves in a clinical leadership role within a national crisis service system, where her work is rooted in high-acuity suicide risk assessment, real-time clinical decision-making, and consultation. Over the course of her work, Whitney has completed more than 4,000 hours of direct clinical service in suicide and crisis prevention and provided over 500 hours of real-time clinical consultation supporting clinicians in high-acuity decision-making concerning suicide risk and safety concerns.

Her work emphasizes the integration of structured assessment tools with sound clinical judgment, particularly in situations where risk is ambiguous and requires thoughtful interpretation.

In addition to her clinical leadership role, Whitney supports the development of early-career clinicians through consultation, case review, and skills-based training. Her approach is grounded in ethical responsibility, scope of practice awareness, and the use of consultation as a critical component of safe and effective care.

Whitney is known for a warm and direct approach, supporting clinicians in building confidence and sound clinical judgment when working in high-acuity situations.

Through Elevated Psychotherapy Collective, Whitney develops and delivers continuing education trainings designed to strengthen clinicians’ confidence, decision-making, and professional judgment in suicide risk and crisis-related clinical practice.
